Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship or authorized work status in protected zones

Character & Background:

  • No felony convictions
  • No domestic violence convictions
  • No drug-related offenses within past 5 years
  • Ability to pass comprehensive background investigation
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical conduct

Physical & Medical:

  • Able to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours)
  • Sufficient vision (correctable to 20/20)
  • Adequate hearing for verbal communication
  • Able to lift and carry 25 pounds
  • Pass medical examination and drug screening

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to relocate for checkpoint assignment
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, holidays

Written Examination

Candidates who pass initial screening are invited to take our written examination—a 2-hour assessment measuring aptitudes critical to inspector performance.

Passing Score: 75% overall, with no section below 70%

Panel Interview

Candidates who pass the written exam advance to a panel interview with Authority hiring managers and senior inspectors.

Duration: 45-60 minutes
Panel: 3-4 Authority personnel (HR representative, hiring manager, senior inspectors)
Setting: Professional interview room at regional headquarters or major checkpoint

Medical & Fitness Evaluation

Physical Requirements
