Minimum Qualifications

- U.S. citizenship or authorized work status in protected zones
Character & Background:
- No felony convictions
- No domestic violence convictions
- No drug-related offenses within past 5 years
- Ability to pass comprehensive background investigation
- Demonstrated integrity and ethical conduct
Physical & Medical:
- Able to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours)
- Sufficient vision (correctable to 20/20)
- Adequate hearing for verbal communication
- Able to lift and carry 25 pounds
- Pass medical examination and drug screening
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to relocate for checkpoint assignment
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, holidays

Panel Interview
Candidates who pass the written exam advance to a panel interview with Authority hiring managers and senior inspectors.

Panel: 3-4 Authority personnel (HR representative, hiring manager, senior inspectors)
Setting: Professional interview room at regional headquarters or major checkpoint

Note: Checkpoint work is not physically demanding like military or law enforcement field operations. Most candidates pass the fitness assessment. Reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Training Academy Assignment:
