Summer Travel Season Sees Record Crossing Volume
CENTRAL HEADQUARTERS — The Authority checkpoint network processed 73,000 authorized crossings in July 2057, the highest monthly total in five years, while maintaining stable processing times and verification standards.
The record volume reflects growing confidence in protected zone stability and improved economic conditions allowing more families to pursue authorized travel for work, family visits, and approved purposes.
Despite 23% increase in volume compared to July 2056, average processing times increased only 12 minutes (2.8 hours vs. 2.6 hours), demonstrating Authority capacity to handle high-volume periods efficiently.
"Our personnel rose to the challenge," stated Director General Marcus Thorne. "Additional summer staffing, extended operating hours at major checkpoints, and process improvements kept queues moving despite record traffic."
