ADVISORY: Continued Hazard Level 5 Status for Belt Regions
SAFETY NOTICE — ALL REGIONS — The Authority reaffirms that all Belt regions (radiation-affected zones) maintain Hazard Level 5 classification—the highest danger designation. Unauthorized travel through Belt regions continues to result in preventable casualties.
EXTREME DANGER — DO NOT ENTER BELT REGIONS
Belt regions present lethal hazards including:
- Extreme radiation exposure (potentially fatal within hours)
- Contaminated water and food sources
- Complete absence of medical services
- Environmental degradation and infrastructure collapse
- No Authority assistance available
Despite repeated warnings, 17 individuals attempted unauthorized Belt region crossings in Q2 2057. Of these, 11 perished from radiation exposure or environmental hazards. The 6 survivors required extensive medical treatment and face permanent health complications.
"These deaths were entirely preventable," stated Safety Division Commander Dr. Helena Cross. "Alternative routes exist for all destinations. Belt region crossing is not a shortcut—it's a death sentence."
Affected Regions
- Central Belt: Former Midwest industrial corridor
- Eastern Belt Sections: Portions of former Mid-Atlantic region
- Western Desert Belt: Southwest radiation zones
Recommended routing: Authority checkpoint network provides safe passage routes avoiding all Hazard Level 5 zones. Consult route planning guide before travel.
Radiation monitoring data indicates no reduction in Belt region hazard levels. These zones will remain dangerous for decades or longer.
